Financing of the initial proposal

The proposal seeks the sum of £45,000. Most of this cost would be devoted to the engagement of a research assistant for one year (the current going rate is around £25K to £30K for a suitably qualified candidate); the rest would be dedicated to the cost of taking a licence for the wiki software and designing an appropriate user interface.

The research assistant, who must be familiar with intellectual property law and demonstrably computer-literate, will be answerable to the management committee.
